Time Incident Closed: STOP - 01:24 hrs

Damage: 100% by fire to dishwasher, and washing machine, heavy smoke damage to ground floor, moderate smoke damage to first floor

Believed Cause: Accidental- electrical fault in dishwasher

Initial Information: Initial call received stating house fire, unsure if people inside, further call stated shouts for help could be heard from the property.
Crews in attendance confirmed that they had rescued 2 people from first floor of the property, believed fire in ground floor kitchen, 4 Breathing Apparatus and 2 hose reel jets in use, all persons accounted for.
STOP - fire has been extinguished, the 2 people rescued by the Fire Service are in the care of the Ambulance Service,
2 people being relayed to Leicester Royal Infirmary for a precautionary checkup.

Public Statement Issued: Smoke alarms at the property had activated which alerted a neighbour who rang the Fire Service. Please make sure you have at least 2 working smoke alarms in your property and test them at least once a month. Working smoke alarms save lives.
