Believed Cause:

Initial Information: 32 year old horse fallen down embankment and lying on its side in shallow stream. Fire crews cutting away bushes to allow access to horse for technical rescue crews to carry out rescue. Veterinary surgeon requested to attend incident as horse very distressed.

Updated Incident Information: Horse has been lightly sedated to allow technical rescue to put strops in place to enable lifting. Horse will then be fully sedated when horse will be lifted up embankment into field using lifting equipment.
12:38 - stop message received from incident - horse now lifted from stream and left in the care of the veterinary surgeon.
