Initial Information: Several calls received to reports of building involved in fire - 3 pumps sent initially.

Updated Incident Information: Upon arrival Assistance Message - Make pumps 6 and Turntable Ladders 1, persons reported.
Building confirmed on fire, measuring 20 Metres x 20 Metres, consisting of 4 floors used as a retail. 8 Breathing Apparatus in use, 4 Hose reel jets in use - incident is persons reported.
11:02 - Informative Message - Retail Property involved in fire. No casualties at present but still being treated as persons reported. Fire, Police, EMAS, Gas and Electric all in attendance. Incident sectorised, 6 Breathing Apparatus and 3 Hose Reel jets in use.
It is believed that the fire is located on the 1st floor. Property consists of Basement, Ground, First and Second and Third Floors.
11:19 - Assistance Message - Make Pumps 8 - 2 additional appliances sent on from Eastern and Melton Fire Station.
15:15 Incident remains protracted due to the construction of the building. Wooden flooring throughout building. Fire crews cutting away roof tiles.
All appliances remain committed at incident
FRIDAY 27th October 2023: LATEST SITUATION
2 appliances remain committed along with our high reach appliance. Crews are currently damping down externally using a jet. A meeting with other services is scheduled for 09:30 hrs and further updates will follow from there. There are road closures in the area. Fire Investigation is due to commence this morning.
