Initial Information: Several calls received reporting smoke issuing from a food shop

Updated Incident Information: On arrival Incident Commander confirmed smoke issuing from building and requested 2 further fire engines for additional personnel.
Smoke seen issuing between ground and first floor of building
Flats above evacuated before arrival of fire crews.
Smoke issuing from behind takeaway sign and crews removing suspended ceiling to investigate origin of smoke.
Fire located in ducting and extinguished using a water hose reel. water, gas and electric supplies all isolated.
Crews removing signage from shop, checking for hot spots and checking adjacent properties for smoke spread.
Positive pressure ventilation fan used to clear smoke.
Thermal Image Camera used to check for hot spots.
