Believed Cause: Mechanical fault.

Initial Information: The initial call was received from a member of the public stating that a car was involved in fire on the second floor of a 5 storey car park which measured approximately 30m x 50m. Crews from Central Station attended and extinguished the fire using one hose reel and two breathing apparatus. The owner confirmed that they would organise recovery and crews confirmed that other vehicle nearby appeared to show no signs of damage.

Updated Incident Information: Incident Commander confirmed car fire on the 2nd floor, 1 hosereel and 2 breathing apparatus in use .
