Initial Information: Call received to a small chemical spillage in the sluice room.
Updated Incident Information: On arrival Incident Commander confirmed room has been sealed, 1 member of staff taken to the LRI suffering nausea, sore eyes and throat.
Suspected 3 chemicals involved and mixed. Fire crews investigating chemicals involved.
Fire Service Hazardous Materials and Environmental Protection Adviser in attendance and investigation taken place into chemicals involved, Fire Crews used breathing apparatus and detection equipment to ensure all levels were no longer significant, once this was completed the compartment was ventilated.
DIM (Detection Identification and Monitoring) vehicle requested to attend to assist in identifying chemicals involved.
