Initial Information: A call was received regarding a chimney collapse on Western Road in Leicester.

Updated Incident Information: On arrival, fire crews confirmed a partial collapse to a chimney. Crews attempted to make the chimney stack and surrounding area safe using a 13.5 meter ladder and a roof crawler. A cordon was put in place and a Building Inspector requested.

Crews contacted the property owner and the first floor of the property had been evacuated. A firefighter worked from a roof ladder once a safe system of work had been put in place.

Loose debris was removed from roof.
