Initial Information: Call received to a chimney fire

Updated Incident Information: On arrival incident commander confirms a serious chimney fire, chimney equipment being used to fight the fire.
Chimney fire being fought from the roof with crew using a 9m ladder and working at height gear.
Incident commander requested the assistance of the aerial ladder platform.
Fire crew inspecting loft area of property and chimney being cleared from above using chimney equipment.
STOP message - 12:54hrs - Fire extinguished, advice being given to the occupier.

Public Statement Issued: Fire safety advice: With the coming of winter and the colder weather, Fire Service advise members of the public who use open fires/solid fuel fires/wood burners or similar type stoves to have their chimney inspected and swept every year. Make sure your property has working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms installed.
