Believed Cause:

Initial Information: 1 Fire engine was mobilised to a report of an unsafe chimney stack at this address, details from the emergency call suggested some bricks had fallen from the chimney now rendering the stack unsafe.

Updated Incident Information: Shortly after arrival the incident commander requested the assistance of an Aerial ladder platform to make chimney brickwork safe. A safety cordon was put in place in case of any falling debris.

On arrival of the Aerial ladder platform, work commenced to ensure chimney stack was safe. A request was made for a building inspector to attend and inspect the integrity of the remaining chimney stack.

following inspection by the Building inspector confirmation was given that the Fire service were no longer required at scene. Incident was handed over to Building inspector and property owner.
