Initial Information: Several calls received to smoke issuing from a derelict factory located on Menzies road, Leicester.

Updated Incident Information: Informative message - 01:30 - Fire located within derelict building, unable to confirm what is involved in fire at this point. building measures approximately 30m x 10m x20m, 2 breathing apparatus, 1 main jet in use.

Informative message - 01:55 - mezzanine floor and asbestos roof involved in fire. 2 breathing apparatus 1 hose reel jet and 1 main jet in use, Breathing apparatus working off short extension ladder. Search of building still in progress.

Stop message - 02:27 - Fire is now extinguished, search of adjoining building has been carried out. making up equipment and damping down remaining hot spots in progress. a re-inspection will be carried out at approximately 07:30 hrs.
