Six fire appliances have been requested to attend to deal with the fire along with specials of the Ariel Ladder platform (ALP) and further supporting vehicles.
This is mid town house involved in fire, the loft space was fully involved and fire has spread to 3 properties. Properties have been evacuated.
Three main jets, three hose reel jets and four breathing apparatus wearers are also using two 9m ladders and short extension ladders.
Updated Incident Information: Further updates stated that four properties have been affected, these are town houses each consisting of two floors, the buildings measure 45m x 5m.
The incident has been sectorised, in the first sector the ALP has been got to work, this is the high rise platform, there are four breathing apparatus wearers and three hose reel jets, in the other sector one main jet and a hose reel jet are being used.
The Police are in attendance and have put road closures in place on Blackbird Road on both carriageways.
The incident is starting to be scaled down at 06:30, appliances are being released with two fire engines and the ALP remaining in attendance and damping down. Gas engineers are in attendance awaiting to isolate supply when it is safe to do so.
Incident now scaled down further from 09:00 to 1 appliance and 1 ALP, crews currently continuing to damp down any hot spots using the ALP.
Demolition company requested to attend due to one of properties been deemed unsafe, 1 appliance still in attendance
13:44 Demolition work being carried out at scene and crews damping down and turning over using 1 hose reel jet and drag forks.
16:29, crews have re-attended scene with 1 appliance and ALP in order to fit sheeting to roof. Demolition company have completed their tasks and both them and crews will be coming away shortly.
