Initial Information: Call received from member of the public who had spotted a Duck entangled in fishing wire suspended from a wooden structure within the River Soar. Crews formulating plan to enter water on inflatable sled to rescue distressed animal. RSPCA requested to attend incident by Fire Service.

Updated Incident Information: STOP MESSAGE 09:40 - Duck rescued by crews on inflatable sled, fishing hook removed from Duck's beak, fishing line removed from Duck and Duck released uninjured by crews back into the river.
