Damage: 90% severe by fire to compressor bank and electrical motor. Heavy smoke damage to first floor & light smoke damage to ground floor.

Believed Cause: Accidental - Electrical fault.

Initial Information: Automatic fire alarm sounding at industrial premises

Updated Incident Information: First message @ 02:19 hrs: 1 compressor involved in fire on mezzanine floor. 2 breathing apparatus committed under rapid deployment for saveable property. 1 hose reel jet and 1 x CO2 extinguisher in use.
02:21 hrs: Assistance message to make pumps 3 for personnel
Message at 02:50 hrs: Fire has now been extinguished and sprinkler has been isolated. Electrics isolated and attempts being made to ventilate the property. Unit measuring 30m x 30m, consisting of ground floor and mezzanine floor. 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel in use.
Message at 03:28 hrs: Fire has been extinguished, ventilation of industrial unit taking place, 2 breathing apparatus are committed to aid ventilation.
STOP at 04:05 hrs: Fire on mezzanine floor involving 3 compressors and 1 electric motor. Fire extinguished using hose reel jet and sprinkler system. Heavy smoke logging on mezzanine area and light smoke logging to ground floor. Sprinkler system activated. Tactical ventilation in progress using 2 positive pressure ventilation fans. Liaison taking place with Fire Service and onsite electrician and Manager.
