Initial Information: Call received to a property believed chip pan in kitchen involved in fire, smoke scene within the premise, believed 2 persons within the property.

Updated Incident Information: 1 chip pan involved in fire, extinguished and removed from property prior to the arrival of the Fire Service, all persons are accounted for. Ambulance on scene and assessing the occupants.

Public Statement Issued: Take care when cooking with hot oil – it sets alight easily. If the oil starts to smoke – it’s too hot. Turn off the heat and leave it to cool.
