Initial Information: Leics Fire Service have been in attendance at a major fire at Skeffington this evening
Call received just before 18:30 to a agricultural oil tank believed struck by lightning.
Initial crews from Uppingham & Eastern attended and quickly asked for assistance. Incident increased to 6 appliances with additional resources
mobilised from Oakham, Market Harborough & Wigston.
Crews in attendance confirmed agricultural building machinery & straw involved
6 breathing apparatus , 2 main jets 2 hose reels & CAFs jet in use
@ 22:45 incident has been scaled down with 2 appliances remaining in attendance damping down
No injuries have been reported at the incident
Updated Incident Information: Crews have left the scene. Re-inspection will be carried out this morning
