Believed Cause: Accidental due to an unattended candle

Initial Information: A call was received from the occupier of the property stating that there was a fire in the bedroom of his property. All persons had evacuated.

Updated Incident Information: 23:17 Fire located in a first floor bedroom of a 2 storey private dwelling. Two breathing apparatus deployed under rapid deployment and one hose reel jet in use.
23:27 Fire now extinguished. Positive Pressure Ventilation fan, two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet in use.
23:38 All breathing apparatus withdrawn.
23:56 Cutting away is still in progress.
00:22 Cutting away and damping down has been completed and a smoke alarm has been fitted to the first floor of the property and advice has been given.
