Initial Information: There were several calls received to a kitchen fire at a property in Leicester.

On arrival at the address, fire crews requested the assistance of a further appliance for man power. Crews confirmed that a flat on the 1st floor was heavily smoke logged and one hosereel jet and 2 crew wearing breathing apparatus were in use.

The fire involved a ceramic hob and was extinguished by fire crews and all breathing apparatus was withdrawn.

An incident handover form was completed with the responsible person and the incident left with them.
