Initial Information: A member of the public was passing by on a dog walk and noticed a hay bale smouldering in a field, with concern for nearby horses and the potential for it to spread she called 999.
Crews confirmed that there was a hay bale involved in fire and that the horses were a safe distance in the neighbouring field. One hose reel and drag forks were being used to extinguish the fire.
