Damage: Severe fire damage to rear of factory, slight smoke damage to adjoining factory.

Believed Cause: Under investigation

Initial Information: Call received to smoke in the area of Pingle Street Leicester to a possible industrial unit involved in fire.

Updated Incident Information: 00:45 - 2 appliances sent on initial call with crews making up for a third for breathing apparatus.
00:57 - crews confirmed a single storey factory unit involved in fire measuring 20 by 20 metres with fire located in the rear of the unit, 2 hose reels, 1 jet and 1 covering jet in use.
01:03 - fire now extinguished 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels and 1 jet in use.
01:25 - positive pressure ventilation of unit in progress, 2 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reels in use.
01:50 - Ventilation of unit complete, smoke has circulated into adjoining factory, 2 breathing apparatus and positive pressure fan in use in adjacent factory.
02:13 - All breathing apparatus withdrawn.
03:19 - Cutting away now complete and all equipment made up.
Fire investigation being carried out - to continue tomorrow.
