Initial Information: A couple of calls were received reporting smoke seen from a second floor flat. It was treated as persons reported and three appliances were mobilised.

On arrival, fire crews requested a forth appliance to assist.

Updated Incident Information: The message confirmed first and second floor flats were involved in fire. Four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets were in use.

At 09:04, the fire had been located on the first floor and had been extinguished, allowing the first and second floors to be fully searched and confirming that all persons were accounted for. One resident had evacuated and was assessed by East Midlands Ambulance Service, who were in attendance at the scene.

The gas and electric supplies had been isolated at the request of the Fire Service and a fire investigation is in progress.
