Fire and Rescue Service Vehicles Attended: Two appliances from Loughborough, one from Birstall and one from East Leake which was stood down prior to attending
Officer(s) in Charge of Incident: Watch Manager from Loughborough
Time Incident Closed: 01:47 hrs
Damage: 100% severe by fire to one bedroom, 50% moderate smoke damage to the rest of the flat
Believed Cause: Deliberate ignition
Initial Information: Call from neighbour advising that one of the flats was on fire and everybody was evacuating
Updated Incident Information: Crews first message was stating that this was still persons reported, it was a fire on the second floor, 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hosereel jets and 1 covering jet in use.
Crews shortly advised that breathing apparatus had been withdrawn, fire was extinguished and all persons had been accounted for.
Equipment was being made up and Police & Ambulance were both in attendance.
Public Statement Issued: Fire Service will be attending the area later today to carry out a post incident response with other properties in the vicinity to offer advice & guidance.
