Believed Cause: Believed accidental due to BBQ being left unattended.
Initial Information: Calls received to a fire involving the balcony of a flat possibly from a bar b q.
Updated Incident Information: Third floor balcony involved in fire. The occupier had managed to extinguish the fire prior to the arrival of the Fire Service.
Fire crews cut away the decking of the balcony to check for fire spread. No fire spread.
Approx. 3 square metres of decking destroyed by fire.
