Believed Cause: Following heavy rainfall during Storm Dennis, many rivers and watercourses have burst their banks causing flooding inside and outside many properties, motorists are also driving into flood water becoming stranded.

Initial Information: We are receiving numerous calls and rescuing motorists stranded in flood water.

PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE INTO FLOOD WATER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

Local councils can be contacted to secure sand bags.

Areas particularly affected by this are Ratby, Kirby Muxloe, Appleby Magna, Ashby-De-La-Zouch, Redmile, Asfordby, Cossington, Sileby, Loughborough, Hathern.
