14:23 - 24,000 CANISTERS WITH DEFECTIVE VALVES ARE CONTAINED WITHIN TRAILER, THEY CONTAIN A MIXTURE OF BUTANE AND PROPANE, CANISTERS ARE STILL EXPLODING SPORADICALLY AND BREATHING APPARATUS HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN, ONE GROUND MONITOR BEING GOT TO WORK TO SPRAY DIRECTLY INTO REAR OF TRAILER, COVERING JET LAID OUT.
14:46 - CREWS CONTINUING TO COOL CANISTERS USING GROUND MONITORS. ALL CREWS ARE NOW IN A DEFENSIVE POSITION. SMALL EXPLOSIONS OF CANISTERS HAS LESSENED SINCE COOLING HAS BEGUN.
15:38 - COOLING OF AEROSOL CANISTERS IN TRAILER OF ARTIC LORRY HAS BEEN COMPLETE, INCIDENT HANDED OVER TO SITE MANAGER, WHO WILL MONITOR VEHICLE OVERNIGHT AS A PRECAUTION. INCIDENT REMAINING OPEN FOR RESINSPECTION IN THE MORNING.
Updated Incident Information: 08:21 - REINSPECTION CARRIED OUT THIS MORNING - AEROSOL CANISTERS HAVE BEEN MADE SAFE, NO FURTHER EXPLOSIONS HAD OCCURRED OVERNIGHT, SITE MANAGEMENT ARE TAKING CONTROL FOR DISPOSAL OF CONTENTS OF TRAILER. NO FURTHER ATTENDANCE OF FIRE SERVICE REQUIRED.
