Initial emergency reported to Fire Control by East Midlands Ambulance service, the details suggested 1 lorry and 1 car had collided on Glenhills way, Leicester and it was believed 1 person was trapped inside the car.
On arrival of fire crews it was confirmed the incident involved 4 vehicles a (2 cars, 1 van and 1 lorry) 1 female casualty has been extricated by Fire Service from one of the cars involved and will be conveyed to Leicester Royal Infirmary by Ambulance, a second casualty has been assessed by Paramedics for minor injuries and will self present at hospital.
All vehicles have been made safe and the incident has been handed over to Leicestershire Police. The road has been closed whilst the scene is made safe and vehicles are recovered. Road users should expect delays in and around the area until Police reopen the road. Public Statement Issued:
