Initial Information: Several calls received to flames seen from Burleys Way and appliances were mobilised to the area. Members of the public advised crews that alarms were sounding within a high rise building on Abbey Street and that smoke was seen on the fifth floor.
Fire within a flat on the fifth floor was located and extinguished and no persons were found within. Fire crews continued to check for further fire spread.
Updated Incident Information: 20:15 - Informative Message - All breathing apparatus withdrawn and all persons accounted for. Equipment is being made up.
