Believed Cause:

Initial Information: Initial call to reports of a Horse stuck in mud up to its neck on the side of the River Soar.

Updated Incident Information: Upon arrival incident was confirmed as one Horse stuck in mud up to its waist.
Equine Vet requested from Chine House Vets and en route.
Further assistance was requested for a Fire Fogging Unit appliance (based at Coalville) to assist in removing the suction of mud from around the Horse and assisting in its extrication.
Owners now on scene.
09:41 - Horse now extricated from mud using sideways skid and tractor. Horse being looked at by the Vet.
