Damage: 40% to microwave by fire and 30% smoke to kitchen

Believed Cause: Accidental, unattended food left in microwave

Initial Information: Call received from a neighbour of property with alarms sounding inside and smoke seen from letter box.
2 appliances sent and crews made up for a 3rd when in attendance as believed persons still inside.

Updated Incident Information: Crews rescued 1 person from inside property suffering with smoke inhalation, casualty was assessed by East Midlands Ambulance service and also discharged at scene.
Fire extinguished using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and Positive pressure ventilation fan used to clear smoke.
