Initial Information: Call received to smoke issuing from a property on Belgrave Avenue

Updated Incident Information: 23:15 - on arrival fire crews put in an assistance message to make pumps 4 for breathing apparatus

23:27 - 4 breathing apparatus and 1 main jet in use. 1 terraced property measuring 5m x 12m involved in fire. Terraced property consists of basement and 2 floors, fire believed to be on ground floor. Terraced properties either side are also being evacuated.

23:57 - Make pumps 6 for personnel

00:01 - Fire on first floor is still developing, tactical ventilation in use. All breathing apparatus withdrawn, 2 main jets in use. This is a mid terraced property, evacuation of adjoining property has taken place. One male casualty has self evacuated prior to arrival of fire service. Casualty is suffering from severe smoke inhalation and is being treated by East Midlands Ambulance Service.

00:14 - Make pumps 8 for personnel

00:25 - Good progress is being made fighting fire on first floor and in roof space. House next door has had loft space checked and no signs of fire or smoke. 4 breathing apparatus, 2 main jets, 2 hose reel jets, 1 short extension ladder and one 9m ladder for firefighting in use. Request the attendance of the Fire Emergency Support Service from British Red Cross.

00:38 - Good progress is being made fighting fire on first floor and roof space. Properties either side of the house have been checked for fire spread and are clear. 6 breathing apparatus, 2 main jets, 2 hose reel jets, 1 short extension ladder and one 9m ladder still in use. Crews are now establishing a water supply from a nearby river.

Morning update, Incident scaled down overnight. 1 appliance remains at the scene.Internal & external inspections being carried out. Fire Investigation Officer will be attending today
