Damage: Severe fire damage to ground floor, severe smoke and heat damage to 1st floor of dwelling

Believed Cause: Accidental - Unattended electrical fat fryer

Initial Information: Call from a member of the public smoke seen coming from a property on Bringhurst Road. Initially 2 appliances were mobilised, but on arrival, a request for a further appliance was received.
Ground and first floor involved in fire, but no casualties inside the property. Four crew members wearing breathing apparatus were committed using 2 hose reel jets and 1 safety jet.
Fire was extinguished and 2 occupants were being assessed by EMAS at the scene. Damping down in progress.
Stop message received at 12:05, confirming fire extinguished, dampening down complete and all BA crews withdrawn.
Red Cross Support team attended to support the family.
