This was a terraced domestic dwelling consisting of two floors measuring 4m x8m, the fire was located in a rear first floor bedroom.
Firefighters extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one covering jet and one short extension ladder, they checked adjoining properties for hot spots and smoke travel.
The Red Cross volunteered Emergency Response vehicle was requested to attend to support the occupants of the property.
