Damage: 100% damage by fire and smoke to the kitchen and 100% smoke damage throughout the property

Believed Cause: Accidental by Chip Pan

Initial Information: The emergency call was received from a neighbour reporting a fire at the property, caller stated that everybody was out of the property, however, upon arrival the occupier was rescued by Fire Service. The incident was a chip pan involved in fire. The occupier currently being treated for smoke inhalation. 2 BA, 1HR in use. All persons accounted for.

Updated Incident Information: STOP - 17:45 - Fire now extinguished, all BA withdrawn. Casualty is being given first aid by fire service awaiting arrival of ambulance. Premise has been ventilated, cutting away and fire investigation in progress. Request the attendance of the fire emergency support service.

Crews confirmed that the casualty was being treated by East Midlands Ambulance Service for superficial burns and smoke inhalation.
