Damage: 90% severe to roof and 75% severe fire damage to 1st floor

Believed Cause: Believed deliberate ignition

Initial Information: 2 appliances mobilised to reports of a fire in an unoccupied house. On arrival the crew put in an assistance message for another appliance and an aerial ladder platform.

Updated Incident Information: 22:12 - one building consisting of 2 floors measuring approximately 9M x 15M. This is a disused building. Fire located on first floor and roof space well alight. 4 jets in use. Hydrant feed has been sustained. External fire fighting only taking place no internal fire fighting. Aerial ladder platform in attendance and will shortly be set up to continue damping down.
22:26 - All hand held jets have ceased. Aerial ladder platform in use for damping down.
22:45 - Good progress is being made with the Aerial ladder platform. Incident is being reduced to 2 appliances.
23:15 - 1 x 9m ladder in use for removal of roof tiles from gable end. Crews are inspecting first floor rooms by external windows. Electricity board in attendance.
23:46 - Electricity board have now inspected power supply to building and confirmed power is still live. Electrician is arranging for engineers to attend to dig road to isolate supply. All rooms on 1st floor have been inspected externally by windows. 2 hot spots on flat roof have been identified and have been damped down using aerial ladder platform.
00:24 - STOP MESSAGE - fire now extinguished, no further hot spots identified. Incident will remain open for re-inspection tomorrow.

08:30 - Crews attended for re inspection. External investigation of property carried out using 9 metre ladder
