Initial Information: Several calls received to report a house on fire in the Anstey area of Leicester. Most callers believed the property was uninhabited, however one caller stated that someone may be inside.

Updated Incident Information: Upon their arrival, fire crews confirmed that one detached property was well alight and requested the assistance of an aerial ladder platform.

Entry was gained to the house and two breathing apparatus and a hose reel were in use inside, with another hose reel in use outside the property.

This incident involves a vacant 2 storey property which had been boarded up. The first floor of the property was searched and cleared and all breathing apparatus was withdrawn due to the roof collapsing. The fire is currently being fought from outside the house.
