Believed Cause:

Initial Information: Call received to a house fire with electricity meter on fire. No persons reported.

Updated Incident Information: Fire crews confirmed a large smoke plume could be seen approaching the property. Upon arrival fire confirmed to be affecting 2 properties on Maplin Road, fire located in the ground floor, first floor and roof space of one property and in the roof space of the second property. 6 Breathing Apparatus, 3 Hose Reel Jets and 1 Main Jet in use and Aerial Ladder Platform also being got to work.

UPDATE: Cadent are in attendance. The Ariel Ladder Platform is in use removing tiles from the roof top. 2 Breathing apparatus and 1 Hose Reel Jet in use.

19:37: Damping down and turning over in progress. One lizard, 4 snakes, 1 Giant Snail and 1 Millipede have been recovered from the property safe and have been reunited with their owner.
