Damage: Severe fire to the bin compound, severe smoke to communal areas of the flats

Believed Cause: Accidental

Initial Information: Call from neighbour reporting smoke issuing from property on the street.
Fire in ground floor bin compound, initial thoughts were that there were persons inside the property and a further fire engine was requested. Fire crews using 2 water hosereels and 4 breathing apparatus wearers extinguished the fire.
Flats searched and no persons were found.
Utilities to flats isolated.
Council representative attended to assist.
