Damage: 1st floor rear bedroom destroyed by fire, Severe heat and smoke to the remainder of the property

Believed Cause: Accidental - Defective mobile phone charger

Initial Information: Terraced domestic property involved in fire. Fire located on first floor. 6 breathing apparatus deployed. 3 hosereel jets used.

Updated Incident Information: Row of terraced domestic properties, area covering 100m x 7m. Building of 2 floors. Fire effecting 1st floor bedroom and attic space, the Incident Commander requested further resources to assist in checking the building for fire spread.
Damping down and turning over in progress in original property, checking for fire spread in neighboring properties.
Red Cross Emergency Support Team attended to assist residents with welfare and housing concerns.
