Damage: 20% to cupboard by fire and 20% to property by smoke.

Believed Cause: Caused believed to be accidental due to fault in consumer unit.

Initial Information: Call received from the occupier of a property stating there was a fire inside her house. Everyone was out of the property.

Crews confirmed a fire in a semi-detached property, two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one covering jet was in use to extinguish the fire. Both Western Power and Cadent gas were requested to attend.

Fire was confirmed extinguished at 15:56 and all breathing apparatus was withdrawn.

Stop Message: Investigation completed and cause believed to have been due to a faulty consumer unit. Whilst awaiting the arrival of Cadent and Western Power, fire crews carried out home safety checks on two properties.
