Fire and Rescue Service Vehicles Attended: 2 Appliances from Melton Mowbray, 1 from Birstall, 1 from Oakham and 1 from Western. Command Support Vehicle from Shepshed and Welfare Unit from Kibworth

Believed Cause:

Initial Information: Call received to a house filling up with smoke, 3 appliances originally mobilised.

Updated Incident Information: Crews informed one property well alight, all persons accounted for.
Incident commander requested make pumps 5 at the incident.
Fire had spread to roof space, 6 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets, 1 main jet and positive pressure ventilation fan in use. 1 compressed air foam system also in use to prevent further fire spread.
Gas and Electrics have been isolated and Fire is now under control.
Fire now extinguished and 2 breathing apparatus
Police and Community first responder now in attendance
Short extension ladder and roof crawler are in use to check for hot spots and fire spread. Thermal imaging camera in use.
One main jet in use to tackle fire.
One pump relief was done at the incident and an appliance from Eastern Station has taken over.
Crews currently using one hose reel jet, thermal imaging camera and a short extension ladder to dampen down hotspots.
