Damage: 100% Smoke and fire damage to bedroom involved, 50% smoke damage to first floor

Believed Cause: Accidental - Unattended candle

Initial Information: The initial emergency call was received from the occupier requesting the Fire Service to their house, they confirmed that everybody was out of the property.
Crews confirmed that all persons were accounted for at the terraced domestic property that measured 5m x 10m. The front bedroom was involved in fire.
The fire was extinguished using one hose reel and two breathing apparatus, damping down and cutting away continued after the fire was extinguished and a ventilation fan was used to clear all smoke from the house. A thermal image camera was used to carry out a thorough check for remaining hot spots.
Smoke alarms were fitted in this property and notified the occupants who were able to evacuated and ring 999.
