Damage: 13 cars, 2 lorries, JCB and Fork Lift Truck destroyed by fire

Believed Cause: Believed to be deliberate ignition.

Initial Information: Several emergency calls received to reports of an industrial unit involved in fire on sunningdale road leicester.

Updated Incident Information: 02:56 shortly after arriving on scene crews requested the assistance of a third appliance.

03:06 - several units and cars involved in fire, LPG cylinders are believed to be involved in fire within the building. 2 mains jets in use from both a short extension ladder and the ground, water supply is being established from nearby hydrant.

03:19 - Assistance message - requesting the assistance of a fourth appliance

03:27 - Assistance message requesting the assistance of an Aerial ladder platform and water carrier

03:35 - Fire at this incident has now spread over a large area, crews attempting to contain fire spread. at this time it is believed to be approximately 10 cars involved in fire.

04:17 - Fire is spread over an area of approximately 100m x 50m, fire involves approximately 12 cars, several out buildings of corrugated steel constructions and 1 brick building measuring 30m x 15m. unknown quantity and type of cylinders involved are currently being cooled. 2 main jets and 2 hose reel jets in use. site is believed to be used for building supplies and scrap yard.
Water carrier is now being set up, Aerial ladder platform crew are surveying surrounding roads for a potential siting area for the appliance. Incident has been sectorised into 2 sectors.
Police are required at this incident to assist with road closures.

04:51 - Crews making good progress in risk area, main seat of fire is being controlled using main jets. small pockets of fire are being extinguished using hose reel jets. Aerial ladder platform is being set up in sector 1 to provide a water tower.

05:30 - 2 large good vehicles, 13 cras and several buildings involved in fire, fire is now under control, main and hose reel jets being used to da,mp down surrounding area, Aerial ladder platform being got to work as a water tower being supplied from the water carrier.

07:30 - incident has now been scaled down to 1 appliances. Fire investigation is now underway

03/04/17 - Crews have been damping down and checking area for hot spots - this has now been completed and no hot spots have been located. The incident has now been handed over the the owners.
