Damage: Moderate smoke damage to kitchen

Believed Cause: chip pan left unattended, fortunately the occupiers had smoke alarms fitted which operated due to the smoke and alerted them to the fire.

Initial Information: Fire in two storey terraced house, fire located in kitchen in a pan of oil. 2 breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet in use. Covering jet laid out as a precaution. House evacuated, no persons inside or injured.

Updated Incident Information: Stop message - 2 breathing apparatus wearers have removed one oil pan from the oven, fire is now extinguished.
