Damage: Moderate fire damage to extractor and slight smoke damage to kitchen

Believed Cause: Accidental - pan left on cooker

Initial Information: Call from occupier reporting a fire in the kitchen

Updated Incident Information: On arrival the Incident Commander confirmed that a flat on the 2nd floor was smoke logged, fire fighters using 1 water hose reel and 2 breathing apparatus were fighting the fire.
Other crew members were using a ladder to check the roof space for any smoke or fire.
Fire found to involve a pan on a cooker, fire fighters extinguished the fire and used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.
Crews extinguished the fire just after midnight.
