Damage: 90% to extraction unit by fire, 10% by fire to kitchen and 90% smoke damage to kitchen.

Believed Cause: unattended pan on hob

Initial Information: Initial call to reports of Fire alarm sounding at property.

Updated Incident Information: Upon arrival incident was confirmed as fire in kitchen area of 5th floor flat. Building consisted of 6 floors and used as student accommodation. 2 BA, 1 main jet and PPV fan used to extinguish.
All persons were accounted for, block involved was evacuated however residents will be allowed back in once firefighting has ceased apart from occupants of the flat in question.
