Believed Cause: Batteries that had been placed through the shredding machine which ignited paper

Initial Information: Call received reporting paper shredding lorry involved in fire. Containing approx 3 tonnes of paper inside lorry.
On arrival a small fire was located in the rear of a paper shredding vehicle. Vehicle relocated to car park as a precaution.
Shredded paper emptied onto car park. One hose reel jet, thermal image camera and drag forks used to extinguish fire.
Incident handed over to shredding contractor.
