Initial Information: Several calls were made to reports of a lorry trailer involved in fire, explosions being heard.

Updated Incident Information: Upon arrival lorry trailer was confirmed as being involved in fire - well alight. Lorry trailer was carrying an unknown amount and type of chemicals. A 3rd pump + specialist chemical appliances were further requested to attend. 2 x Compressed Air Foam System Jets and 2 Breathing Apparatus used. Trailer is on the roadway and is closed in both directions. Lorry tractor unit has been detached from trailer and is not involved in fire - lorry driver is in attendance. Environment Agency informed of incident.
03:48 - Informative Message - 1 lorry trailer still involved in fire, 2 main jets still in use, all breathing apparatus now withdrawn, specialist chemical appliances not required and have been released from incident.
04:10 - Informative Message - Lorry trailer still involved in fire, dragging out load and damping down using 2 main jets still taking place.
05:17 - Informative Message - Recovery of vehicle now taking place, it is estimated the road will remain closed for approximately the next 4 hours. Highways in attendance.

Further information regarding contents - amongst other things there were 2 x containers within lorry on fire containing a red liquid, although not believed hazardous the incident was treated in such a way as a precautionary measure.
