Damage: Severe damage by fire to 6 batteries and approx. 20% damage to curtain sided lorry.
Believed Cause: Short circuit in battery pack
Initial Information: Several calls received to a lorry on fire on the M69. The lorry was believed to be carrying batteries.
Updated Incident Information: Upon arrival crews found a large articulated lorry involved in fire. The lorry was carrying waste batteries.
2 breathing apparatus and 1 high pressure hose reel were used to extinguish the fire.
