Upon arrival Incident Command requested 2 x extra pumps for Breathing Apparatus and personnel Updated Incident Information: 12:41 - Incident involves single storey building 50M x 30M, used as a recycling centre, Fire located in conveyor belt system and has spread to recycling items. 4 BA and 2 main jets in use. Building evacuated and internal drenching system activated.
12:46 - Make Pumps 8 and Aerial Ladder Platform 1
13:02 - Make Watercarriers 1
13:19 - 6 BA in use and 3 main jets, fire has broken through roof, Aerial Ladder Platform being got to work as observation tower.
13:41 - Twitter post issued warning members of the public to avoid the area and keep windows closed.
14:05 - 2 main jets, 1 hose reel jet and 2 BA in use.
Fire has now been extinguished, ventilation of property now in progress as well as Fire Investigation. Incident scaled down to 4 x appliances. Public Statement Issued:
