Believed Cause:

Initial Information: The caller requested the Fire Service to attend as a 2 year old child had got a finger stuck in the chain mechanism of a bike and were concerned that the finger was turning blue.

Updated Incident Information: Upon arrival the crews confirmed that the boy had his finger trapped between the chain and the front cog and they had released it quickly using small gear. The Ambulance had been requested at the time of the original call, this was cancelled as the parents were happy to take the child themselves to A&E.
