Initial Information: Initial response to this incident was mobilised after a report of a wheelie bin involved in fire near to a restaurant on Ashby square. Whilst the Fire Service were on-route to this incident multiple 999 calls were made from members of the public advising that the fire looks to be spreading to the building. Further resources were mobilised.

Updated Incident Information: 1 wheelie bin involved in fire at the rear of premise, Building measuring 15m by 15m consisting of 2 floors, Smoke logging on the ground and first floor of premise. Fire extinguished using 1 High pressure hose reel.

3 persons have been rescued from first floor using a short extension ladder and all persons were accounted for.
Those rescued from the premise have been assessed by East midlands ambulance service and confirmed uninjured.

utilities to the premise have been isolated, awaiting inspection by electricity and gas engineer prior to allowing occupants to return.
